  20.      Over the weekend I installed Xfree v1.1, followed the distribution README
  21.  files. Made changes to Xconfig file in /usr/X386/lib/X11, mainly to do
  22.  with my serial mouse and the Monitor timings -
  23.  
  24.  i.e

  26.    mouse"/dev/ttys0"    # my serial mouse is on com1
  27.    Baudrate1200
  28.    Samplerate150
  29.    Emulate3Buttons
  30.  
  31.    Modes   "1024x768" "640x480"   #I have Trident 8900C chipset (TVGA)

  34.  I also copied /usr/X386/lib/X11/xinit/.xinitrc to /root

  36.  and then invoked

  38.    startx

  40.  Here, I got the following messages
