- I didn't mean that as a knock and I don't want to start a RFD for
- making a comp.os.linux.religion.favorite.distribution group either.
-
- mcc-interim is further behind 'absolutely current'. I sure hope it's
- more stable as a result :-) SLS is the swiss-army-knife-of-linux
- and is somewhat more current as well. both are great.

-
- I got it from mcc directly (myself) then I built my systems from lots
- (lots!) of additional pieces that are now generally in SLS.
-
- When time came to upgrade (and I bought a new linux-only disk), I stuck
- with my past good experience with mcc-interim and used it. Also, I run a
- different directory structure so I kind'a need to build in pieces anyway.
- That doesn't mean I'm saying SLS wouldn't have worked.

-
- like I said, my opinion is that mcc-interim is rock-solid for what you
- get, though SLS is far bigger and generally more current. Both are great.
- You have to work harder to build-your-own-SLS if you use mcc-interim, etc.
-
- long term, I agree an SLS-like creature will probably become an anon-ftp
- shrink-wrap linux, which would be wonderful.
-
- (hell Peter, you know I'm trying to get 'newspak' into SLS...I wouldn't
- try to kick something I'm trying to get my stuff into :-))
