- Does the xdm title line say "X Window System" instead of your hostname?
- If so, I often have that problem too (~25% of the time I use xdm) and
- have to reboot to try again, until it puts my hostname there. I'm
- currently having other problems with zsh crashing on me, and if the two
- are related, I suspect it's because memory isn't being zeroed out before
- programs are loaded in. Warmbooting doesn't seem to help, even though
- I'm running the latest version of LILO. I have to hit the Big Red
- Switch.
