- Hi guys.
- Being new to Linux - I am having a couple of problems.
- I have just recompiled tcpip into the kernel (I am using the SLS distribution)
- and now when I reboot I get the following errors for the 3 config commands
- in rc.net.
- socket: protocol not supported
-
- The first two use loopback and the third uses eth0.
- I don't understand this because the kernel compiled ok.
- I have a WD8003 card in the PC and it is connected to the network.
- I also have its IP address, router address etc. - these are all fine.
- Can anyone help me?
-
- thanks
