  12. I have compiled ghostscript version 2.5.2; it compiles very nicely
  13. with very few little changes, but I can't get it to run; when I try
  14. I get a message saying "Initializing ..." for about one second, and
  15. then "Unrecoverable error."

  17. I tried the pre-compiled version at tsx-11.mit.edu, included in the
  18. SLS disks; but when I try to run that, I get a message saying:
  19. "Can't load libX11so.2.0", or something like that.  I created a link
  20. to the X11 libraries I have (version 2.0, from the same disks), but
  21. then it aborts saying:
  22. "Can't load library.  Incompatible version."

  24. Has anybody made it work? Also, how do I tell which printer device
  25. to use?
