- I'm soon to buy a 386/40 PC to install Linux/X and DOS/Win on,
- probably sending away for Linux disks from the fellow in Batavia,
- Illinois.
-
- I'm dismayed at the prospect of backing up 150-200 MB of disk to
- floppy. I won't fill up the disk instantly, but eventually it
- means a knee-high stack of floppies with associated costs and has-
- sles. If I were only concerned about DOS, I might go for a Colo.
- cartridge tape (capacity, price) or a SCSI floptical (flexibility).
-
- * What other suitable backup hardware is supported by Linux?
-
- * Any thoughts on sensible backup strategies? (frequency, breaking
- into smaller chunks?)
-
- BTW I've never seen Linux actually running. If there's anyone near
- Tucson or Phoenix who could show me his or her system, I'd love to
- see it. L.A., S.F., and Seattle are possibilities too.
