  14. Now that 98pl4 has NR_OPEN as 256 quite a few programs that use select
  15. syscall are going to fail. They need to be recompiled. Therefore I request
  16. the original contributors of such software to help again to recompile them.
  17.  
  18. While doing so I also would like to ask the following. I am currently using
  19. Epoch and the original contributor alsaggaf@athena.mit.edu (M. Saggaf) has
  20. decided not to support it. Can some one using lemacs tell me whether the
  21. epoch-specific lisp files work with lemacs? If not can some one tell me
  22. whether the following is possible with lemacs:

  24.    I start the server in icon mode
  25.    I type estart aaa and lemacs opens a new screen and allows me to edit aaa
  26.    I exit editing aaa and the screen vanishes buffer deleted and lemacs is
  27.          back as an icon
