- I got exactly the same behaviour with xdm. I've tried to get xdm working
- every time a post with new hints came up, but without success.
- I wrote out some error messages on disk from Xstartup_0,
- Xsession etc. and I found that xdm starts Xstartup (here I got an
- error message) but *not* Xsession, which should start at least a xterm.
