  15.     I have not been able to make any progress solving my remaining
  16. problems with Minicom and need advice from anyone with experience or an
  17. alternative to Minicom that will work.

  19.     Most of the terminal emulation (vt100) problems went away when I
  20. set my linux shell to vt100 before starting Minicom. The emulation still
  21. bugs out occasionally in vi but I can "reset" it by switching to Minix and
  22. back to vt100.

  24.     The real problem is with Emacs and IRC. Both totally lose their
  25. lunch on execution, but Minicom acts just fine when they are put into the
  26. background or killed. I am at 2.4K baud now but am getting a high speed
  27. connection soon and dont see how it should be the problem. Has anyone
  28. had problems with Emacs and Minicom and got them to work?
