- Hi Linuxers,
-
- I have not been able to make any progress solving my remaining
- problems with Minicom and need advice from anyone with experience or an
- alternative to Minicom that will work.
-
- Most of the terminal emulation (vt100) problems went away when I
- set my linux shell to vt100 before starting Minicom. The emulation still
- bugs out occasionally in vi but I can "reset" it by switching to Minix and
- back to vt100.
-
- The real problem is with Emacs and IRC. Both totally lose their
- lunch on execution, but Minicom acts just fine when they are put into the
- background or killed. I am at 2.4K baud now but am getting a high speed
- connection soon and dont see how it should be the problem. Has anyone
- had problems with Emacs and Minicom and got them to work?
-
- Thanks in advance, Noah
-
- And THANK YOU LINUS!
