  12. Well, I've read all of the previous posts about getting xdm to work and  
  13. have followed all of that advice.  I tried eliminating all getty's in my  
  14. inittab and inserting a /bin/doshell /dev/tty1 /usr/X386/bin/sdm in my  
  15. rc.  xdm starts up fine, but will not let me login, not as root, not as  
  16. a user, not as anyone.  When I press ctrl-alt-backspace to abort X, it  
  17. simply restarts xdm, at which point I'm pretty much screwed.

  19. Anybody got a clue as to why this isn't working for me?
