  17. As to compression, I'm not sure. Mine wouldn't work until I UNcompressed
  18. the files. So, that could be either way for you.

  20. Mkfontdir is an executable in X bin directory. To use it, cd to the dir
  21. where the fonts are located and simply type mkfontdir. It will create a
  22. file called fonts.dir.
