- Okay. I know this went by long ago, but I wasn't having *any* trouble
- compiling (yeah, I know - that's what they all say!)
-
- Trouble cropped up a week ago when I tried to majorly hack apart tip for a
- quick and dirty port to linux -- had all the compile bugs worked out, but
- during the link phase I got a bunch of '_setjmp undefined' and other _name
- undefined messages. All from libraries I'm assuming I either have, but
- installed improperly, or don't have. I upgraded from gcc2.2.2 to gcc2.2.2d
- about a month ago with the updated install scripts from H.J.
-
- The problem reared its ugly head once again in trying to compile ingres. Of
- course, it might just be ingres (and my bad hack of tip) that are causing
- these problems. I've tried several combinations of compile/link options to
- no avail.
-
- I _can_ compile some C code that I've written myself (either old or new) --
- it doesn't happen all the time, but that doesn't prove anything.
-
- Basic system config: Linux 0.98pl1, gcc2.2.2d, 16mb RAM.
-
- I tar'ed my old libraries and includes for gcc (and have a backup of the
- entire gcc tree) so could always backtrack to gcc2.2.2, but I really don't
- want to create a library jungle.
-
- If you can help, I can use it! Thanks for the assist.
