  10. Thanks to all who sent suggestions on the Xega problem of not finding
  11. the 'fixed' font.

  13. To sum it (in case it isn't in a FAQ and someone wants to put it there)
  14. the way to fix this beastie is:

  16. 1) uncompress the fonts in (at least) /usr/X386/lib/X11/fonts/misc
  17.     I've heard people say that these have to be compressed, and yet
  18.     others say they shouldn't. On my system, they had to be uncom-
  19.     pressed.

  21. 2) execute mkfontdir in each font directory you expect to use.

  23. Now, if only my busmouse wasn't eratic, I might be able to use Xega and
  24. have color. )-:
