- I have the SLS release and I have noticed that when X creates a Xterm
- it logins in the Xterm as a ttyp... but when you exit the Xterm the w
- command still shows the ttyp... still logged in, but it doesn't appear
- in ps. Does anyone know why? It seems that /etc/utmp is not being
- updated when the Xterm is exited. I can fix it by deleting utmp and
- creating a empty file, but the problem reoccurs when I use X again and
- open up multiple Xterms.
-
- Another problem is why cann't I write to a mounted MSDOS filesystem as
- a user. I can only write to it as root. I have tried serveral
- different opotions...
-
- 1. mounting with mount -t msdos -w /dev/hdb5 /dose
- 2. mounting wiht mount -t msdos /dev/hdb5 /dose
-
- on both I did a chmod a+rw /dose.
- Does anyone know how to make it work properly?
