- Hi,
-
- I have a foreign language emulator(Korean, specifically) that uses 8 bit
- characters. I am trying to ring in to my school and use the editor there
- (stevie) which works with 8 bit characters. However, I am having no luck
- as the characters won't get passed by the shell for some reason.
-
- I have a feeling that this is due to minicom because:
-
- 1. I can get the characters at home with zsh.
- 2. I have the characters working at school with school emulator(same prog
- which I have compiled at home)
- 3. I have stty pass8 on both sides.(school and at home).
- 4. I have been able to get the characters with other comm progs, even though
- I wasn't using the emulator then(it was a DOS comm prog that caters for Korean characters).
-
- Does anyone have any experiences with 8 bit characters with minicom?
- If they do, I would appreciate any help
-
- Jae
