- This seems to be a FAQ but I haven't catched any answers. I have
- installed the SLS 0.98 release of Linux on my computer and compiled the
- kernel to enable TCP/IP. When booting I get the following messages:
-
- sock_init: initializing family 2 (AF_INET)
- Loopback device init
- wd8013, 32 pages memory, ethernet Address: 00 00 c0 41 39 10
-
- That seems allright, except for the fact that my card is a WD8003E, but
- that shouldn't matter? My problem is that config doesn't work.
-
- # config loopback 127.0.0.1
- socket: Protocol not supported
-
- # config -n 192.98.42.0 -r 192.98.42.254 eth0 192.98.42.5
- socket: Protocol not supported
-
- I would very much appreciate if someone could tell me, what I am doing
- wrong.
