- Yes, Coherent is a good OS for news and mail. Mail service works via
- UUCP, but not SLIP with Coherent. News requires additional software.
- A customer support UUCP bbs is offered to Coherent customers.
- It has some free news software that works with Coherent.
-
- You also get KA9Q from mwcbbs which will provide you with SLIP, but
- it does not support nntp or smtp which are needed for internet news
- and mail.
-
- These pieces of software can also be obtained over the internet by using
- anonymous ftp from raven.alaska.edu.
