  11. I have ported and uploaded the following to raven:
  12.  
  13. 1) pax/tar/cpio.  This includes source and a 32-bit binary.  My tests show that
  14. this 32-bit version works in cases where the 16-bit pax/tar/cpio included with
  15. Coherent 4.0 fails.  Obviously, this 32-bit binary is only for Coherent 4.0.

  17. 2) rn version 4.4.4.1.  This is a port of the popular newsreader.  This program
  18. is too big for Coherent 3.x so only 4.0 users can run it, unless someone wants
  19. a big job in paring the code segment down by half.  Tested with Wnews 3.1. Gnu
  20. make and sed may be required to recompile rn.

  22. 3) f2c for FORTRAN 77.  This is a public domain release from AT&T (see the 
  23. license included for details).  This program is much too big for Coherent 3.x.
  24. Gnu bison is required; gnu sed and make may also be required.  Library source
  25. (for FORTRAN) is also included.

  27. Please let me know if (when ;-) you find any bugs.  Send bug reports, fixes and
  28. suggestions to me ASAP (especially pax/tar/cpio since we need it for backups!).
