  38. Topic:         Ensuring Ada's Success in the 1990's
  39.  
  40. Speaker:       Ralph Crafts, President
  41.                Ada Software Alliance
  42.  
  43. Ralph Crafts is an internationally known and respected authority
  44. on Ada-related competitive issues.  He brings a unique
  45. perspective to the competitive Ada Marketplace.  He has been
  46. active in the Ada community for more than 11 years, and "wears a
  47. number of hats" in the Ada marketplace.
  48.  
  49. Ralph is the President of the Ada Software Alliance (ASA), a non-
  50. profit organization formed in 1989 to promote the use of Ada in
  51. both the government and commercial markets.  He works with
  52. members of congress and their staffs to ensure continued support
  53. and funding for government software initiatives.  In addition to
  54. his ASA role, he also heads up his own company, Software
  55. Strategies and Tactics, Inc. (SS&T), which he founded in 1986.
  56. SS&T provides Ada-related consulting services to the
  57. international software community.  He is the editor and publisher
  58. of Ada Strategies, an international monthly newsletter that
  59. focuses on Ada management issues, trends, case histories, and
  60. usage in both government and commercial applications.

  62. His talk at the November DC SIGAda meeting outlines the actions
  63. needed to ensure the Ada language flourishes.  He will address
  64. the following questions:
