- OO additions have been rather successfully made even to lower-level
- languages than Cobol (at least C). If it is important to let all those
- C programmers move gradually over to more or less OOP without quitting
- their old language abruptly, why should the same convenience be
- denied to the much larger number of Cobol programmers?
