- For More Information, Call: 1 800 437-9504

- Or visit one of the AT$T Phone Centers near you...
-
- For those unfamiliar with the AT$T VideoPhone 2500:
-
- 1. 3.3 inch (diagonal) LCD screen
- 2. Fixed focal length CCD camera
- 3. Built into "feature phone" (hands-free, speakerphone, memory
- dialing, etc)
- 4. "Full color, motion video"
- 5. Privacy shutter for lens
- 6. Uses "fax modem" technology to transmit "compressed digital video"
- (CLI's CDV) at 14.4kilobits/sec
- 7. $1499 MSRP each
- 8. ONLY works with other VideoPhone 2500s
-
- I believe that the CDV codec, composed of a single IIT VP chip, produces
- 128 X 114 images...which is less than H.261 Q-CIF (176 x 144). The early
- PR claimed frame rate "upto 10 frames/second" which I consider to be
- total baloney.
-
- " A whole generation of young people are demanding video technology, and I
- believe that by the year 2001, visual communications will become as important
- to consumers as wireless communications," Kenneth M. Bertaccini, president
- of AT&T Consumer Products.
-
- " Who would you like to see TONIGHT? ...You'll never look
- at phone calls the same way again. "
