  29. For those unfamiliar with the AT$T VideoPhone 2500:

  31.         1. 3.3 inch (diagonal) LCD screen
  32.         2. Fixed focal length CCD camera
  33.         3. Built into "feature phone" (hands-free, speakerphone, memory
  34.            dialing, etc)
  35.         4. "Full color, motion video"
  36.         5. Privacy shutter for lens
  37.         6. Uses "fax modem" technology to transmit "compressed digital video"
  38.            (CLI's CDV) at 14.4kilobits/sec
  39.     7. $1499 MSRP each
  40.     8. ONLY works with other VideoPhone 2500s

  42. I believe that the CDV codec, composed of a single IIT VP chip, produces 
  43. 128 X 114 images...which is less than H.261 Q-CIF (176 x 144). The early 
  44. PR claimed frame rate "upto 10 frames/second" which I consider to be 
  45. total baloney.
