- I was once advised about how to figure out how much my time is worth when deciding on
- personal projects to take on, such as cutting my lawn, changing oil in the car,
- remodeling the bathroom, etc. Take your base hourly net wage (after taxes, etc.) and
- multiply it by two-thirds. Multiply that by the number of hours you expect it to take
- you to complete the project. If it costs you more to pay someone else to do it
- (and all the outside advantages/disadvantages even out) do it yourself.

- In this case, you could charge two-thirds of your hourly wage. Or you could call a
- resume or typing service and charge a similar rate. Whatever you do, charge a fair
- price but don't cheat yourself.
