- Well, nslookup here shows it. And if you query nis.ans.net,
- you get a little more information, but no A, or MX records. Here is
- what was returned by a local nslookup:
-
- > prodigy.com
- Server: nis.ans.net
- Address: 147.225.1.2
-
- prodigy.com origin = nis.ans.net
- mail addr = hostmaster.nis.ans.net
- serial=9209020, refresh=1 hour, retry=5 mins
- expire=2 days, min=1 day
- prodigy.com nameserver = nis.ans.net
- prodigy.com nameserver = merit.edu
- nis.ans.net inet address = 147.225.1.2
- merit.edu inet address = 35.1.1.42
- merit.edu inet address = 35.42.1.42
-
- I'll bet that when all the records are in place, prodigy.com
- will not be accessible from the NSF funded portions of the internet,
- only to those folks who (or whose network providers) have purchased
- the ANS CO+RE package. :-(
-
- Of course, seeing that Prodigy purchased services from ANS
- shouldn't be surprizing, since they are both IBM affiliated
- companies..
-
- Here's to internet connectivity!
