  14.  This may seem like a stupid question ...after all with full color jpeg's and
  15.  gifs who the heck would be interested in ASCII generated pictures/art/whathave
  16.  you..well I am. I'm particularly interested in art forms that would be portable
  17.  over a variety of platforms (DOS, UNIX, VAX..etc).
  18. Also of interest are programs that would help in the generation of ..oh..banners
  19. and the sort. I spent most of the summer trying to come up with some decent
  20. portraits ..but the more detailed the portrait the bigger the thing got..any
  21. way that's all I'm looking for ..er..and I apologize for not posting in the
  22. XXX.wanted newsgroup 'cause I had typed in more than 2/3 of this before I
  23. realized where I was.
