- I am using sendmail's -f option to change the name of the sender (From).
-
- I've noticed that sometimes (can't exactly tell when) the new sender
- (the name after the -f) gets a copy of the mail in his mailbox too.
- So, if I issue 'sendmail -ffoo bar', both users foo and bar get exactly
- the same message in their mailboxes (even the message-id is the same).
- I suspect sendmail of doing this.
-
- My questions are: 1. Under what circumstances/conditions does sendmail
- decide to do so?
- 2. Can I stop this behaviour and if so, how?
-
- I hope someone can and will answer them. Thanks ahead.
