- The new beta version of Eudora also supports UUCP (not by itself though. you
- have to have UUPC or mac/gnuucp.). UUCP works great for me, but if you plan
- to download many messages ea. day (>50), make sure you have a fast modem. I
- believe that a 2400 w/V.42/bis will do, but even that'll be slow. I'm using
- a Telebit T1000 w/PEP & UUCP spoofing; that works fine. (The only problem is
- that UUPC doubles the time needed to download & process the messages because
- it's processing is *exrutiatingly* slow. You can't really do anything else
- on your computer while it's doing this: it never calls WaitNextEvent while it's
- processing a message.)
