  41. I have a similar situation to Syd's. It would seem that the situation 
  42. might be resolved by a (user-level) elmrc "domainnamematch" variable such 
  43. that if domainnamematch is a substring of the fully qualified hostname,
  44. the machine would be considered local. While giving less than the full 
  45. control planned in 3.0, its more practical than local == originating host 
  46. in this day of "multi-homed" users.

  48. I trust this isn't *too* naive and perhaps doable at a patchlevel until
  49. we have 3.x in our hands.
