- [I canceled the previous post because I forgot to include version information;
- I hope you aren't seeing this again...]
-
- I have been experimenting with using "deliver" to filter my mail. However,
- when my delivery file causes a message to be delivered to my standard mailbox,
- the "comsat" daemon does not "notice" the new message and notify me. Since
- the point of this exercise is to filter the low-priority mail, what *does* get
- put in my mailbox should be (relatively) important, so I'd certainly like to
- be notified when it arrives :-). Is there some way to make "deliver", "biff",
- and "comsat" work together naturally?
-
- I realize that I can perform the notification myself from my delivery file,
- but that seems like a poor integration of the tools. Does "binmail" alert
- "comsat", and, if so, can I somehow get "binmail" back in the loop without
- causing an infinite loop via my ".forward" file?
-
- (By the way, this is deliver 2.1.10 under SunOS 4.1.3 with stock "subsidiary"
- "sendmail.cf".)
