  10. I think that this would be an excellent thing to do.   It would be
  11. quite strightforward to do - you could provide a libdsap interface
  12. with the string prarameters defined as for DISH.

  14. In a similar vein, it would be very useful to have an SNMP capable
  15. PERL (something on the lines of the existing SNMP capable GAWK).   I'd
  16. prefer an active interface (the GAWK has a passve interface, relying
  17. on variables with side effects).

  19. If anyone is interested to write these, I'd be very happy to provide
  20. pointers and encouragement.   A tool with these capabilities would be
  21. very useful for a range of system administration tasks
