  46. I'm pissed off about the upgrade policy as well.

  48. The document Richard Nelson made available over the InterNet mentions an 
  49. upgrade price of $149. When I contacted the local branch of BI I was told 
  50. the upgrade price from TP PRO 6.0 was $225 (plus 17.5% tax). This is 50 % 
  51. more than US Borland customers have to pay. 
  52.  
  53. We have been using Borland's Pascal since version 2.0 and we never had any 
  54. complaints about upgrades then. We would just call Borland in the US and 
  55. order an update with a credit card, and we got it in a week or so.
  56.  
  57. Since Borland got big and arrogant (I'm talking version 5.0) they refuse to 
  58. accept orders from outside the US, you have to order from your local branch. 
  59. I also contacted the Scandinavian Borland branch to see if their prices were 
  60. high as well and was told the price was $330 if I ordered it there!
  61.  
  62. When I ordered TP PRO version 6.0 it took my local dealer 2 months to 
  63. process my order, I hope the 7.0 upgrade will not take so long.

  65. If, in future, Borland personell post messages about upgrade prices I think 
  66. they should add the international prices as well.
