- I'm pissed off about the upgrade policy as well.
-
- The document Richard Nelson made available over the InterNet mentions an
- upgrade price of $149. When I contacted the local branch of BI I was told
- the upgrade price from TP PRO 6.0 was $225 (plus 17.5% tax). This is 50 %
- more than US Borland customers have to pay.
-
- We have been using Borland's Pascal since version 2.0 and we never had any
- complaints about upgrades then. We would just call Borland in the US and
- order an update with a credit card, and we got it in a week or so.
-
- Since Borland got big and arrogant (I'm talking version 5.0) they refuse to
- accept orders from outside the US, you have to order from your local branch.
- I also contacted the Scandinavian Borland branch to see if their prices were
- high as well and was told the price was $330 if I ordered it there!
-
- When I ordered TP PRO version 6.0 it took my local dealer 2 months to
- process my order, I hope the 7.0 upgrade will not take so long.
-
- If, in future, Borland personell post messages about upgrade prices I think
- they should add the international prices as well.
-
- I think this is a bad way to deal with your customers.
-
- What do you think, mr. Authority Figure?
