- Despite being an avid Turbo Pascal user, I can't in all fairness disagree with
- Markku. Most of the questions are indeed on TP and therefore usually about
- PC architecture as well.
-
- Markku is quite right, ISO-Pascal does exist although I'm not too sure about
- the "arrogant ommission of essential features". I'm sure no arrogance is
- intended nor are the features so blatantly ommitted without a suitable alternative.
-
- However, I would support a comp.lang.pascal.tp simply because TP isn't the only
- pascal but it _is_ popular enough to warrant a specific newsgroup. Whether the
- comp.lang.pascal would still be used extensively, I don't know. Hopefully.
-
- Finally, I must say that if most postings are about TP then it implies that TP
- is the most popular. After all, us TP'ers are not maliciously barging other
- pascal user's out, we're just asking questions!
-
- How would we go about creating this group or rather, do others think it's even
- worth it?
-
- Cheerio, Jim.
