- "In one form or another" is a key point. George Forsman (MS-DOS isv &
- oem support) and I (MS-DOS/Windows enduser support, ret) have been
- active in the comp.os.msdos.* and other groups. ON OUR OWN TIME. WITH
- NO REWARDS OTHER THAN THAT GOOD FEELING FROM BEING HELPFUL. But then,
- if he or I didn't have time, didn't want to bother, didn't know the
- answer, etc, who cared? We weren't/aren't WORKING. We're hanging out.

- This is one form.

- Microsoft provides support for most of its products on compuserve.
- The people you see on compuserve are paid to get up there, and
- what they produce up there (in terms of solving problems and
- making people happy) counts for their review, bonus, salary increase,
- and stock options. When you telephone microsoft, again, you're talking
- to someone who's job it is to talk to you.

- This is another form.
