- I have completed reading The Waite Group's New C Primer Plus, by Waite and
- Prata. As a PhD candidate (not in computers), I need to write a program which
- will use text screen painting, graphics, and other assorted features. I use
- the Borland C++ 3.0 system and am very intimidated by the manual (it is way
- too technical for me), though I feel I know C pretty well from the Waite and
- Prata book (which was written at my level). Can anyone recommend any other
- books which would guide a computer-phobic person through the Borland system's
- features? Would I need to learn C++ to use those features? Could you also
- recommend any books, software, or networks which would have listings
- (e.g. indexes) of library functions and macros, or even public domain routines
- which could be used in my program? My advisor mentioned "toolboxes?"
- HELP!!!
