- Help!!!,
- Currently I am involved in a Senior project here at school. The
- project involves creating a drawing using AUTOCAD version 11. Then we are to
- render the drawing. As I understand it we need to use the AUTOSHADE program
- which we have as an option to autocad. I am able to add the properties, camera
- , and lights. But my primary question is how run AUTOSHADE. It seems that
- AUTOSHADE runs external to AUTOCAD also. Is this true? And if so why
- would I get an error similar to unable to create page, so about being so
- general but I can 't remember the exact wording of the error. It seems to
- be some sort of page creation error. I try this when I am in the shade2
- directory. I have tried the necessary commands at both the typical operating
- prompt and in OPENWINDOWS version 3.1. We are running in a c shell
- environment. Also when I define environment variables relevant to Autoshade
- and Renderman they exist when an env requested, but Autocad doesn't seem
- to locate the necessary files. The first question is by far the most important.
- I can counteract the latter problem by copying the necessary files to my
- account, although this is a particularily stupid way to solve the problem,
- it does work. I thank anybody who may have any suggestions in advance.
-
- Thanks,
- B.D.W
