- | Unfortunately, the RIB specification is very large. It is a
- |piece of the RenderMan Interface Specification, which is a 90-page book.
- |That could not reasonably be posted to the net, and we have no real way
- |to make it available via FTP, either.
-
- There are lots of 100+ page documents available in compressed
- PostScript form all over the net. Perhaps a copy could be put in the
- FTP site that is the subject of these articles?
-
- | Anyone who is really interested in RIB should get a copy of
- |the RenderMan Interface Specification from Pixar, 1001 W. Cutting Blvd.,
- |Richmond, CA 94804. Please enclose $20 to defer printing and shipping costs.
-
- Of course, this is another good option.
-
- Since I implemented the StyleGuide file format for "Alias Sketch!(tm)"
- I'll just quickly mention that I think it's a mondo-cool format for 3D
- models. [What, me biased? :-)] It's in ASCII text, which makes it
- very portable across platforms. No good for animation, though; just
- static models.
