- I'm having lots of difficulty determining just what my options are for
- diplaying realistic images. I had thought that it would just be a matter
- of going out and buying one of the new vga cards that can display 24 bit
- deep images, but no one that I've talked to yet knows the complete list
- of such cards, their capabilities (specifically resolutions and their
- maximum number of colors per pixel.) and prices. And to confuse me more
- there is some question as to the "chip" that drives the card, another
- question as to whether the card can drive all types of monitors, and yet
- another as to whether you even need 16.7 million colors in such low
- resolutions. Can anyone make a comprehensible summary of the options?
-
- (Specifically, I'm really interested in one of the 24bit cards still so
- what are they and what resolutions can they do at 24bits per pixel?)
-
- Please email me and I'll collect and post a summary of what I get, or post
- if you think it warrants so.
- Thanks folks.
