  10. I'm having a problem with image quality in Adobe Photoshop.

  12. When I switch modes in PhotoShop from the raw graphics data (say from a
  13. scanner) and go to either RGB or CMYK it gives me what looks like a dithering
  14. effect.

  16. The Mac's in 8-bit, but that shouldn't be the problem, since the raw graphics
  17. look beautiful.  I've also reproduced the problem on a number of machines, so
  18. it doesn't seem like just some isolated quirk.  Does anyone have any ideas
  19. why this might be happening?
