  14.     Can anyone recommend a service in the Los Angeles area that could generate
  15. a high quality negative or transparency from an image file?  The final objective
  16. is to make prints from 8 by 10 inches up to poster size.

  18.     I have done this before by generating a large image file (on SGI hardware
  19. with Wavefront Software), dumping it onto a tape, which was then shipped
  20. to Hanaway Associates in Colorado.  They returned a good quality 4 by 5 inch
  21. transparency.  The problem was that it cost a lot ($150), and we had to go
  22. through 2 iterations to get a satisfactory transparency.

  24.     I would rather do it locally and cheaper!  Anyway done this sort of thing
  25. in L.A. for less than $150?
