  13. Hello netters,

  15. We are doing some work with digital video compression/decompression and
  16. are looking for a way to measure image quality that is not subjective.
  17. We would like to find a reasonable way of comparing an original image
  18. with the decompressed compressed image.  MSE and MAE are bad metrics
  19. and we do not want to hassle with user studies.
  20.  
  21. Does anybody know of a good image quality measure? Know of any
  22. institutions working on finding a good analytic image quality measure?
  23. Know of any papers about this subject?
  24.  
  25. And would be willing to tell me about them -:)
