- I am sure you are convinced that you set the TERM environment variable to
- 'ibmpc', but I am more inclined to believe that Demacs is correct. Since you
- did not supply a copy of the batch file in which you set the variable, it is
- not possible to judge if you used the correct syntax. The line should look
- like this:

- SET TERM=ibmpc

- Notice that there are NO spaces on either side of the equal sign and there are
- NO quote marks around 'ibmpc'.

- Are you sure the SET command succeeded? Perhaps you ran out of
- environment space and the set command failed.
