  19. I am sure you are convinced that you set the TERM environment variable to
  20. 'ibmpc', but I am more inclined to believe that Demacs is correct.  Since you
  21. did not supply a copy of the batch file in which you set the variable, it is
  22. not possible to judge if you used the correct syntax.  The line should look
  23. like this:

  25.         SET TERM=ibmpc
  26.  
  27. Notice that there are NO spaces on either side of the equal sign and there are
  28. NO quote marks around 'ibmpc'.

  30. Are you sure the SET command succeeded?  Perhaps you ran out of
  31. environment space and the set command failed.
