  31. On the Mind Extension University I used to watch a course (tele/BBS/LIVE)
  32. from George Washington U about techno in the secondary classroom.  One
  33. whole segment was devoted to "Ulysses". I'm not sure where others got their
  34. info on this, but Gardner's correct. It was more than a blackboard. The
  35. segment was not simple the IBM demo, but a description (actually video
  36. history) of how the material was used in class. Some one on this board
  37. complained earlier that you could not set up active links; well in the
  38. version I saw there had been changes made to the link structure.
  39. Additional student commentaries had been added. I was impressed--except
  40. with the cost. But then, Amigas have been doing this sort of thing longer
  41. (and for less cost) than anyone else (I believe even longer than Apple),
  42. and hasn't NeXT been on the edge also? Surely with their DSP that platform
  43. should be far ahead of any other in FMV and DigiSound. (See following post
  44. for more NeXT material.)
