- Abstract: With continual progress in integrated circuit processing,
- operating speeds and new technologies are emerging. The accurate high
- frequency analysis is needed to design the high performance system.
- This paper derives general multiport interconnect constraints and
- presents a new approach -- Wave Spreading Evaluation (WSE) which uses
- S-parameters based network techniques to analyze coupled, multiconductor,
- high speed analog and digital integrated circuit interconnect systems.
- WSE is based on the spreading process of voltage waves, the input sources
- are transformed into initial spreading waves. The spreading process is
- independent of input sources, and every step of wave spreading meets the
- constraints of KCL and KVL, the convergence condition is always met for
- passives network. The continual spreading of voltage waves will create
- accurate results.
