- AT&T Paradyne in Largo announced Tuesday it has developed a modem
- that can operate at theworld's fastest transmission speed --- 28,8000
- bits per
- second. The new speed doubles the current stnadard of 14,400 bps. New
- products are expected to be avilible in the second half od 1993,
- according to a statemnet from the unit of American Telephone &
- Telegraph CO.
