  13. Well let me be the first to say something bad about the Intel 400!
  14. It can be a problem when used in a non-DOS environment (e.g. OS/2).
  15. This is because it stores its configuration in volitile RAM. I 
  16. don't know why such a high end modem didn't use flash memory but
  17. there you are.

  19. That said, I must say that I am generally pleased with mine. Once I got
  20. native OS/2 communications and fAX software I found it works very well. Its
  21. nice to download at 14,400 in backgound while editing and printing. Also
  22. they have fixed the problem with FAxing at 14,400 by releasing a software
  23. upgrade. I've installed it but have not tested it (can't find a 14,400
  24. fax!).
