  15. I tried yesterday to connect a trailblazer to my NeXT. Normally the NeXT runs
  16. normally with a hayes-compatible modem and for all modems I have tried, I did
  17. not experience any problem. I have a mini Din8 to DB25 cable that works (and
  18. was made according to NeXT specs).

  20. When I attach the trailblazer to the NeXT however, nothing is sent to the
  21. system, whatever I do. DTR burns, I can startup a dial, or initiate a test
  22. with AT&T, but nothing is echoed back. So, the SD light lights when I send
  23. what, the commands seem to be executed, but the modem does not send anything
  24. back.

  26. The NeXTcube has a RS-423 port. The manual of the traiblazer says something
  27. about explicitely needing a RS-232C. But the other modems that I tried (and
  28. that worked) had a RS-232C also.

  30. I am out of ideas on this one. Help is very much appreciated.
