- I tried yesterday to connect a trailblazer to my NeXT. Normally the NeXT runs
- normally with a hayes-compatible modem and for all modems I have tried, I did
- not experience any problem. I have a mini Din8 to DB25 cable that works (and
- was made according to NeXT specs).
-
- When I attach the trailblazer to the NeXT however, nothing is sent to the
- system, whatever I do. DTR burns, I can startup a dial, or initiate a test
- with AT&T, but nothing is echoed back. So, the SD light lights when I send
- what, the commands seem to be executed, but the modem does not send anything
- back.
-
- The NeXTcube has a RS-423 port. The manual of the traiblazer says something
- about explicitely needing a RS-232C. But the other modems that I tried (and
- that worked) had a RS-232C also.
-
- I am out of ideas on this one. Help is very much appreciated.
-
- Thanks, and please: answers by e-mail.
