- Try turning off the error correction/data compression completely by entering:

- I have run into several - old - 2400 modems that just can't handle the new
- moems initial handshaking.

- There is nothing wrong with the SUPRA. It also wouldn't surprise me if the
- local library system was running on a VAX - maybe even a PDP11. I have struck
- this before.
