- Yes, I've seen similar behavior -- my U-1496E (running version rk412ce)
- sometimes doesn't hang up when DTR drops even though I've set &D3. I was
- hoping it would be fixed in 5.02, but, judging by your message, I guess it
- isn't. The most interesting aspect is that the modem can continue talking
- to an otherwise silent line (no carrier from the other end) indefinitely,
- even through the "if you'd like to make a call, please hang up and try again"
- message, and through the loud beep, beep, beep, beep, please-hang-up noise,
- without ever deciding to hang up. It can almost always be convinced to hang
- up by pushing the data/voice switch by hand, but that's no help if you're not
- sitting next to the modem.
