- I am having problems with the Intel Satisfaxtion/200 faxmodem being used as a
- data modem with Procomm Plus 2.01 and would appreciate any suggestions one
- might have.
-
- The problem is this: I have the satisfax.sys driver loaded in config.sys and
- the modem initializes fine in Procomm Plus 2.01 but during an on-line session,
- frequently the text will stop scrolling by itself and unless I press the
- CAPS-LOCK key, will not continue to scroll. I've discovered a temporary fix
- for the problem but it is not very convenient. The faxmodem requires that
- the satisfax.sys driver be loaded to initialize the faxmodem but I've found
- that if I boot the computer with the driver loaded and then boot the computer
- without the driver loaded the problem disappears. If I don't use the
- satisfax.sys driver at all, the modem and fax are inoperable. What I don't
- understand is why I have to boot with the driver, then boot without the driver
- in order to properly use Procomm Plus 2.01.
-
- Thanks for any suggestions.
