- We just purchased Sybase for a project, and the "contact fee" was sure a
- shocker for me too. Needless to say, we also were taken aback at that.
- I budgetted for the figures in their Canadian price list, and then my
- boss tells me that I was a wee bit low in the estimate! For the platform
- we're putting it on, that forced the total cost for the RDB to way over
- the hardware by a long shot. I work for a large company, and frankly,
- we're not getting good vibes that lead to more business with them...
- They're not doing their homework...
