  11. One of our old ORACLE V5.1 DBs crashed because of a system failure.
  12. When I try to bring ORACLE up again it attempts to recover but the
  13. before image file seems to be corrupt.

  15. Is there a way to bring ORACLE up WITHOUT the recovery procedure,
  16. ignoring the old BI file, and supplying a new one?

  18. The system is an IBM RT/PC under AIX 2.2.1.
